The "Tech" Sale Post [13 Oct 2009|09:55pm]
As I currently have 2 tons of shit I don't need, I'm offering up these goodies I've been saving for a rainy day. (Consider this a 'rarity' as while I do sell a lot of junk, I don't often offer up Tech items.) I'm willing consider TRADING these items if the item being offered is of value to me (Joann's g/c, movie tickets, food stamps, etc) and equal to the worth of the item.

-Working,Used Purple Iomega Zip Drive-$10 OBO
-Like New Hannstar iC194D by I-Inc, Flat Panel 19" 1280x1024 Monitor-$50 (Originally $100 New, never used!)
-Working, Used APC Back UPS Pro 280 White Surge Protector & Power back-up-$20 (Yes, it's older than dirt and still works better than half the crap out there!)

Chargers: (I probably have more of these.)
-Panasonic DE-A11 Lumix Charger w/ Battery-$10 (Lights up, but I don't know if the battery works.)

Desktop Hardware:
-Possibly Working AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Socket AM2 CPU-$15 (Pins got bent, probably still works.)
-Like New MSI K9N6PGM2-V GeForce 6100 Socket AM2+ MB-$20 ($40 New, Never used.)
-Like New Lite-on 20x PATA DVDRW DH20A4P-04 OEM Black-$10 ($25 New, Never used.)
-Like New Thermaltake A4022 TR2-R1 CPU Fan Socket AM2/939/754-$5 ($15 New, Has some heat sink on it, but never 'used'.)
-Like New 2 Kingston's 1024 MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz-$20 ($40 New, Never used, this is for 2 sticks!)
-Like New Power Up Black ATX Mid-T Case w/ 450watt & Clear Side-$20 ($100 New, Never used.)
-I also have 2 used, small hard drives (Small by today's 60-120G standards) and 1 mid-level video card (great for gamers), ask if you're interested as they're currently in an odd spot for me to get to, but I'll happily include details if there's enough interest.

Laptop Hardware:
I don't know which of these components will and won't work as the laptop is currently in pieces, about the only thing I can guarantee will work is the RAM sticks. The system only died as a result of broken internal adapter.

-Various parts that used to make up an Acer Aspire 3680-Make me an offer. (Sold hard drive and battery already, but I might still have the adapter.)

-Working, Used Brother XL-5232 Sewing Machine-$25 OBO (Front plastic panel latch is broken, but easily fixable with a small glued piece of plastic.)
-Broken Genius 8x12 Tablet-Offer (I have the pen too which works just fine, looking for $15 for the pen!)

If you don't see something, ASK! I might have it, and forgot to include it! I have a family that's tech pack-rats, so more than likely, if I don't have it on hand, somebody else does!

Since our so "progressive" government has just okayed a bill to go through that will allow medical practitioners to refuse procedures based on their religious or moral beliefs.

So now I have to worry about getting sick, going to a hospital, and getting refused service because I'm wiccan and their not.

Thanks government!

Top 10 Stupid Things Men Have Said to Me

I really wish a lot of the shit on this list hadn't been said, but alas, it has. What's even worse was that some of it was uttered by people not under the influence of narcotics or alcohol. But I assure you, that the majority of it was.

1) Look, I've been at work all day, and I've only had 5 hours sleep, so you better just eat your meal and have lowered expectations about what's going to happen this evening.
2) You're trying too hard to be different.
3) Hey Baby!
4) I'll give you $800 to sit on my face.
5) So is your friend single?
6) What do you mean you don't drink to get drunk?
7) Why don't you want to do chicks?
8) I saw your picture. You must be a freak!
9) Do you like sex?
10) Can I borrow your costumes?

Okay, I now have four people who've added me who haven't identified who they are via comment. Nor can I figure out who they are based on their profile.

If I know you, could you at least make your identities known?

That Colorgenics Thing [16 Nov 2008|05:11pm]
You are feeling really miserable at this time and you'd like to form a relationship with someone with whom you could really communicate. At the same time, whoever it may be, that special 'someone' must not conflict with your own belief system or ideals. This makes for tough going - but it would seem that the situation is only transitory. It will soon pass.

Being a somewhat gentle, emotional and sensitive person, you are at this time experiencing a considerable amount of tension. What you really need is someone who can be close to you and to listen to what you have to say.

Nothing seems to be going right for you and you are thwarted every way you turn. You are not at all happy with the situation but it would appear that there is very little that you can do about it at this time. Sit back and let the situation take its course, because at this time you feel that there is nothing you can do to change whatever needs to be changed.

You are pretending that the situation around you doesn't matter, but the effort of trying to conceal your emotions and anxieties is resulting in untold stress. The existing situation is disagreeable. You feel unwanted and lonely and you would really like to associate with someone whose ideals are as high as your own. You want to be above the standard of mediocrity and this need to be needed and that need to need has almost become an obsession. You are trying to magnify the need into a compelling urge. You would really like to tell the world how great you are but no, you are holding back because you feel that your peers may treat you with contempt. This is a great pity because you have in fact a unique quality of character, but the continual restraint that you impose on yourself makes you suppress this need for others and you pretend you don't really care. You treat those who criticise you with contempt. However, to be honest, beneath this assumption of indifference you really long for the approval and esteem of others.

You are greatly impressed by individuality and have interest in people who have outstanding qualities. You try to imitate those people that you admire and their characteristics, hoping that you will be able to display similar qualities in your own personality.

Smart Ass Answer of the Day [23 Aug 2008|04:42pm]
I often get asked the wonderful farce of a question:

"Do you believe in short term/open relationships?"

I find discussions like this ridiculous as it's often asked of me by men who generally already with someone, but want to screw someone else on the side. Or are just looking to screw as many women as they can get their grubby little hands on, thus making me another "notch in their bedpost".

So, here's your answer:

"I only believe in short term/open relationships on one condition: THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK IN BED. Because if you're awful, then I'll definitely want to leave you afterwards, and find someone else to screw. So our 'relationship' will be *very* short term and *very* open." ^_^

Your Score: The Expatriate

Achtung! You are 38% brainwashworthy, 31% antitolerant, and 9% blindly patriotic

Congratulations! You are not susceptible to brainwashing, your values and cares extend beyond the borders of your own country, and your Blind Patriotism does not reach unhealthy levels. If you had been German in the 30s, you would've left the country.

One bad scenario -- as I hypothetically project you back in time -- is that you just wouldn't have cared one way or the other about Nazism. Maybe politics don't interest you enough. But the fact that you took this test means they probably do. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt.

Did you know that many of the smartest Germans departed prior to the beginning of World War II, because they knew some evil shit was brewing? Brain Drain. Many of them were scientists. It is very possible you could have been one of them.

Conclusion: born and raised in Germany in the early 1930's, you would not have been a Nazi.

Your Score: Odysseus

66% Extroversion, 46% Intuition, 100% Emotiveness, 23% Perceptiveness

You are a generous entertainer, an observer of tradition, and you are an enthusiastic leader. You are most like Odysseus. You meet transgressions with swift retribution but you are, in the end, just and fair. You're also pretty astute -- it's hard to pull one over on you.

You're a very detail oriented person, you take your responsibilities very seriously, and you're highly dependable. You aren't particularly idealistic, and are more apt to practice a kind of situational morality, albeit a pragmatic one that you ensure is amenable to the situation at hand. Your externally defined morality also means that you have a lot of regard for law, tradition, and social structure.

Because you're a sense-oriented person, you may lack the ability to weigh your externally defined morality on a theoretical basis. This can be harmful if you aren't versed enough in the ways of the world to compare the value-system you were raised in against some of the other social and ethical systems in practice around the world. On the other hand, if you were nurtured in a non-sociopathic setting, you will find that you can be a very fair and just leader. Because your ethical code is so contingent upon your upbringing, you may find yourself in staunch and violent opposition to other Odysseus types, as well as the more analytical personalities (such as Hermes, Prometheus and the Oracle).

Leadership and tact are your strongpoints. You are adept in exploiting these to such an extent that, when you make a strategic or ethical error (as the Odysseus type is prone to do from time to time), you can recover and regain your footing in short order. This makes you a natural head of state or military brass.

Famous people like you: Bill Clinton, George Washington
Similar Personality Types: Atlas, Apollo, Pan
Personalities to Avoid: Prometheus, The Oracle, Hermes
